I started my poetry project in 2013 as part of National Poetry [Writing] Month and in the two years since that April, I’ve written about 400 poems, made three collections of my work, had a poem performed in Rochester, and received tons of valuable feedback from friends. My writing has matured incredibly in this short time and I am glad to be trying NaPo again this year on my poetry blog, especially as these past few months have left me in quite a dry spell with my writing.
I am also hoping to use this month of Camp NaNoWriMo to write a few short fiction pieces in addition to my poetry – it has been several years since my last proper short story, and writing challenges always seem to work as an extra push for my writing endeavors.
